fugtifino
Well, it looks like Trump is finding out that things aren't as simple as he'd hoped, and your admiration of him isn't so black or white, maybe a little, er, nuanced? You routinely dismiss people's opinions by infantilising them: looks to me that it's Trump who's behaving like an over-tired toddler throwing a tantrum while he's making policies that have global reach. Oh, and he's not such a good loser either: http://mashable.com/2012/11/06/trump-reacts-to-election/#cPwKZ52zPuqX And, you're quite right to ignore all the other stuff, it's not really germane relevant to the thread. observer
Well he won't find it easy, will he ? He's got the liberal political and media establishment on his back, together with the snowflake generation; trying every move to thwart the democratic will of the people. If the people needed a lesson in the true nature of our democratic society, they're now getting it.
fugtifino
He's got the liberal political and media establishment on his back, together with the snowflake generation He's got bigger worries than that, Federal Judge James Robart was nominated by Bush and confirmed by a republican senate. fugtifino
And I think we can now legitimately refer to him as a "so-called President".
observer
The Republicans, like our Tories, have been liberalised, hence the rise of the T-Party in the US, and UKIP here; and Bush opposed Trump's election - so no surprises about the actions of one of his Judges. Well, with his finger on the trigger of the World's largest nuclear arsenal. perhaps using the term "so-called" is a tad premature. And while your ilk protest in London, some poor Muslim has been shot in the Louvre in Paris, clearly the French have a problem with border security too ! fugtifino
some poor Muslim has been shot in the Louvre in Paris Well, it was actually outside the Louvre, but never mind, it was even worse in Quebec where six muslims were murdered: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/jan/31/quebec-city-mosque-shooting-canada-far-right-politics
observer
There a lot more being killed in Syria though, but they're called ISIS, many from the UK and other EU Countries, and will be travelling home soon ! Davy51
Only because it is the law of the land that prohibits non protestants from sitting on the throne, part of the constitution, which would have to be changed to allow a future monarch to be catholic . The monarchy long since bent the knee to the highest catholic person in their ranks being the Duke of Norfolk. Reply to #

Davy51
Well you sometimes hear talk of "x could trigger a constitutional crisis " so i think we must have.
observer
Dave; that's what I said - "it's the law", as agreed with William & Mary following the Glorious Revolution (actually Dutch Invasion!). I'm merely pointing out that descrimination based on faith, has existed for some time and still exists. So all this hype from the snowflakes about a "Muslim Ban", when it's actually a ban on entrants from 7 countries (identified by the Obama regime), whatever religion they are, whilst not banning the rest of the Muslims, is merely a stick, manufactured by the lefty luvvies to beat Trump with. What's amazing in all this, is it was his mandate, duly voted on by the US electorate, and unlike normal politicians, he seems intent on actually carrying it out. The success of democracy depends on ALL accepting the decision of the people via the ballot box; if that is called into question, we face anarchy. fugtifino
do we even have a constitution? No, we don't. Well, didn't take long for the religionists to start influencing crap laws in this new political climate: http://metro.co.uk/2017/02/03/disturbing-new-law-lets-rapists-sue-their-victims-for-having-an-abortion-6424680/ Didn't someone on here say everything's more liberal now? observer
Yes we do have a constitution, the beauty is, it's unwritten, residing in a mass of accumulated documents from Magna Carta on; thus requiring a mass of historians and lawyers to interpret. Perhaps it's time we did have a single, specific one though ! Think it's the liberals that are the regular protectors of rapists, peados and murderers, (especially in Towns like Rochdale), with liberal Judges giving them lenient sentences; and no doubt a liberal Judicery that will fall for that kind of cr*p. Not forgetting of course, that the majority of kiddie fiddlers find their sanctuary in the liberal Church !

fugtifino
Ahem. Meanwhile, 45th President Donald J Trump, the most Presidential President apart from maybe Abe Lincoln, fails to put enough distance between his business interests and his Presidency: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/documents-confirm-trump-still-benefiting-from-his-business/2017/02/04/848fdd5a-eae0-11e6-bf6f-301b6b443624_story.html?tid=pm_politics_pop&utm_term=.66760ec282fb Doesn't care much for legalities, does he?
