observer
Italy is in debt and at risk of doing a Greece, plus they've got the anti-austerity five star movement on the way to taking over. If Italy collapses the EU is in deep cack. btw. Ryanair were offering ultra-cheap fares up to Thursday, to celebrate a Remain win, wonder if the offer is still on? Bazj
Well Ryanair can't operate without planes... but lucky for them that at least one company doesn't seem to be phased by the leave vote http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-3497621/Boeing-s-Brexit-boost-World-s-largest-aircraft-maker-picks-Britain-home-new-European-headquarters.html
Davy51
Ryanair won't refuse to take UK passengers to all points of the compass if there is a profit to be made. As for indigenous labour....This result has concentrated people's minds on the lack of training courses that various UK governments have provided over the last 25 years. UK governments have failed the UK population in the hope that labour can be provided by immigrants.

Davy51
I believe groups of remainers are planning protests in London today because the result didn't suit them. I wonder if they will tantrum & stamp their feet?
P J
Brexiteers had already said that a vote to remain would not end their campaigning Davy, problem is it seems the public have been duped by lies. Can't see much coming from it though. Another of the lies regularly trotted out was that if we voted out the EU would make us go again. And another is that the referendum was being rigged. Davy51
This could well be the kick up the booty the EU needs ,a short sharp shock to make them realise that all is not rosy in their garden & that our decision might be repeated in other member countries.Apparently, the EU would like us to develop a relationship with looser ties to the bloc ,like associate membership of sorts ,& Mrs Merkel is upset that Germany will have to contribute to the shortfall of our missing contributions. The EU, after departure , will still be comprised of countries desperate to trade with us & countries desperate for our tourist pound. Our politicians will now be shown up for what qualities they can bring to the table, as will our Captains of Industry who will now have to earn a crust & go & negotiate better business deals ,further afield to let the newly blossoming British economy spread it's wings. This momentous decision could be the best Britain has made in over 40 years, both for us & continental Europe. Let's just hope Frau Sturgeon realises this too before she puts her own ambitions before the good of Scotland & the Union.
observer
Well. if extending the registration time to allow a load of young air heads to vote; allowing Irish citizen in the UK and ex-Pats a vote isn't an attempt to rig the vote - what is? As for a re-run, aside from the pathetic on-line petition; there are lots of ways that this decision can be renaged on by our political elite - so keep watching events. The EU probably won't try to force a re-run; as they want to make an example of us; but the majority of our political elites in Parliament will no doubt be working on it. Milky
I am told that should an election now be called and a government was elected on a pro EU mandate this would void the referendum as an election vote would take presidance over a referendum vote.
observer
Seems to be what the legal "experts" are saying. This referendum was "advisory" and doesn't mandate Parliament. But if they want to chance Parliamentary seats on a re-run of the EU argument - bring it on.
Davy51
This is the time now for the present government & opposition parties to return to their normal Parliamentary duties & set up a cross party committee to push the result to its conclusion. As for the main EU leaders, they now seem to want us out of the way as quickly as possible to avoid embarrassment & to discourage other would be deserters. As for objections to the result of a fair election, these people who want to trample over British democracy should be ashamed to want to lie in the same bed as the corrupt dictators of Brussels, who have no scruples except for carving out their own empire. observer
That's good, keep telling ordinary folk that they're racist bigots for not agreeing with YOU; and they eventually switch off, and vote for things YOU don't want. Good selfie of an EU Mandarin though !
