Mr Grumpy of Appleton
“All political lives, unless they are cut off in midstream at a happy juncture, end in failure, because that is the nature of politics and of human affairs.” Is it true do you think? Gary
Welcome to the forum Mr Grumpy of Appleton - in answer to your question it depends on the individual circumstances - and politicians can never please all of the people all of the time any way! Dizzy
“All political lives, unless they are cut off in midstream at a happy juncture, end in failure, because that is the nature of politics and of human affairs.” Is it true do you think? Yes and No. Is that allowed? I've no idea either way to be honest as I really don't like politics as it messes with my head as so many politicians/elected representatives seem to spend all their time backstabing others and whinging at every opportunity trying to score points against each other rather than doing anything useful. I think party politics should be wiped out at local level so that those representing us can do so without having to tow any party line from up above. But yes I guess for the individual maybe going out on a high and knowing they have achieved something and are respected is far better than hanging on until the upper levels or others drag them down into the cesspit too.... P J
Osborne has failed, even his own tests yet is still in a job. In politics failure is rewarded
Davy51
In democratic politics the only objective is to fool the masses on whose votes your livelihood depends.
