Evil Sid
Well they are losing out on the smoking taxes so they have to make it up somewhere. Not being a regular drinker of fizzy drinks it does not really affect me that much. (pint of lemonade a week mixed with a pint of bitter is about it. eg two bitter shandies) only other fizzy drink is the two for a pound ginger beer from the local shop and that is only to get the tablets down that i have to take. But it will make us all a lot healthier as we will not be drinking so much sugar. an dwhen that happens they will find something else that is "bad for your health" to tax. observer
The health fascists will have to move to other demons as smokers decline in numbers, and Gov will need new sources of tax revenue.
Coffee
This week ham, sausages and bacon are killers I might as well keep smoking as it looks as if I am going to die anyway
asperity
You may as well Coffee as, apparently, 50% of smokers are going to die and, as 100% of non-smokers are going to die, you have a 50% chance of eternal life if you smoke.
