What are the Government playing at?

A few initiatives seem to be coming from Government, on how to deal with the migrant problem. One gem is to punish landlords for housing them. But if landlords evict them, it means they'll have to resort to sleeping rough, on the streets or in parks - so that gets us nowhere. Seems many are being housed in hotels at public expense, will they be evicted too?  These mad cap ideas aren't solutions, it still leaves the problem (the migrants) here; so surely the objective of Gov should be to repatriate them asap, forcibly if necessary?

EU migration is one thing Dave; due to the nonsense of free movement of labour, in an EU with vastly different wage rates - so it's a no brainer where they will all go. But this weak response by Government, refers to illegal immigrants; it would appear that they are prepared to see thousands of them sleeping rough, begging or stealing in the UK (might provide competition for the gypsies though, occupying our parks!); rather than actually  start transporting them back whence they came.  There's simply no excuse for them being here, genuine refugees should be seeking asylum in the next nearest safe country, which in the case of Syrians, means Turkey, Lebanon, Israel or Jordan. As for the rest, who are economic migrants, many with the cash to afford £thousands a pop to traffickers, they have no claim to asylum in any case and imo should be returned asap. So why isn't the Gov getting a grip?

I wouldn't class Turkey as being very safe Obs.... particularly now they have all but declared war on IS, ISIS, ISIL,daesh  Islamic State (Or as Sky News Reporters annoyingly refer to it as "The So Called Islamic State" It wouldn't surprise me if there isn't some kind of atrocity in a Turkish holiday resort in the near future

Baz; safety is a relative concept; fact is, in terms of ISIS, nowhere is safe, incl the UK.  But for the purpose of Syrian refugees, it's a lot safer than staying in the midst of a civil war. Turkey is also a much larger land mass than the UK, and providing we and others, use that ring-fenced overseas aid, those camps can be funded; so no excuse for any "refugees" heading for the UK.  It's a myth, being peddled by the liberal bleeding hearts, that these are fleeing wars etc; the vast majority are economic migrants, with money to pay the traffickers. They are opportunists, seeking to take advantage of weak and gutless Western Governments, in order to secure "a better life". As soon as they arrive and are given accommodation and cash; they'll be on their mobile phones to the rest of their families, to come over too.  So we're looking at a never ending stream; for which PC Governments have no answer.
