Los Malvinas ?

Seems Argentina is taking legal action against oil companies operating around the Falklands; which possibly indicates the original motive behind the 1982 invasion.  But I'm rather confused about their legal basis for doing so; according to the Argentine Foreign Minister, the UN recognise the area, as an "area of conflict" thus preventing any unilateral exploitation of it's oil resources by the UK.  Hopefully the UK Gov, can spin things out until our new carriers are ready and we havn't made all our solders redundant, and we're in a position to reinforce our claim?!

There are 13 million Argentinians  living in and around Buenos Aires.  Anyone here happy to kill that many civilian people with a nuclear bomb?  and thats just the immediate death toll.    Thats more than were killed in the Holocaust.  About as wrong as it gets really.

As if there was ever any possibility of us dropping nuclear missiles on anybody. Some people need to take a look at themselves - moronic!

Must have been a "moronic" documentary I watched then; which claimed cabinet papers, showed the matter was considered at a low point in the War.

"Claimed" being the operative word here, and moronic of anyone to take it seriously.

It would seem logical that her advisers would present all options available at any given time, however "moronic" they may seem; even if some were dismissed out of hand.
