Davy51
I believe what our region maybe getting are modified, revamped & previously pensioned off ex London Underground trains to take the place of our own ageing trains on our overground network. More crumbs from the rich man's table.

Unfortunately, this is the approach of all the political parties, all of whom support HS2 which will benefit London far and away more than anywhere else, as HS2 Ltd's own economic case shows. Time the Labour Party, for one, refused to back more SE infrastructure until equivalent amounts were invested in the rest of the UK.
Davy51
Yes ,i think as only HS2 is a passenger targeted venture that maybe the real reason for it is to increase the size of the London commuter belt thus providing the place with more labour for its expanding business waistline.
