Coffee
While our leaders seem incapable of a lot of things, they seem to be doing something right as Warrington is among the fastest new business creation cities in the UK along side London and Aberdeen. Bazj
so maybe that's why so many local kids aren't going to uni to study for a degree in light-bulb changing or some other nonsense degree invented by Liebour during the last government... perhaps the Jones woman was barking up the wrong tree and the local kids are getting jobs instead?
P J
Maybe kids with degrees from out of town are taking the best jobs but then they will need someone to serve them their McDonalds Anyway, wasn't it Nick Bent who pointed out the facts regarding Warrington kids and Uni ? roy kettle
what does growth bring to Warrington I ask? more jobs - yes. More traffic problems - YES! With the income Warrington Council will be earning surely they should be investing in proper roads around the town. Turn Wilson Pattern Street into one way - 2 lanes towards Sankey. The Midland way also becomes one way - Crosfields roundabout to Cockhedge roundabout - simple or what??

Bazj
Cities!!!!!!?. Warrington is apparently classed as a "City" for the report due to its population size!
Freeborn John
I wonder if the fact that the town is 'top of the league' for employment can be linked to a recent report that average income in the town has dropped by 28%, making it 'top of the league' for that as well. There'll always be lots of employment when the rate is a handful of rice.

Coffee
A few years ago Warrington was a commuter town with more people commuting to work outside the town then anywhere else. Wonder if it is still true, feels like it when driving to and from my place of employment
