Crime figures

Apparently crime figures are at an all time low.

Could it be because, 3.8million bank and credit card frauds are left out, or because it excludes murder and manslaughter because the victim is dead, or the fact that rape and other sex offences which are calculated differently due to their sensitive nature are not included , and crimes such as drug possession that are considered victimless are also not included as is cyber crime and online identity theft.

Crimewatch will be down to 1 episode a year at this rate and repeated on the other 11 months.

The main reason is that the government are not putting in certain because it would be embarrassed (is that right never could spell that word correctly).

After all they are the ones who are committing quite a few offences, fraud, drug taking, sexual assaults, verbal assault. So if the true figures were published the rise in crime amongst the governmemnt alone would top sixty percent.  8)

I thought this may have created a discussion around what crimes are / are not included in crime figures, as per usual it just results in either a defense or attack of the present government.

Getting away from politics here is a summary of the article I read.

It would be interesting if someone could publish a list of what crimes are included.

But that list is full of the most horrendous crimes that should be at the top of any government's record of success or failure. How police chiefs of various ranks can still  be in office after the Rotherham revelations is beyond me.

We are living in a sick, corrupt society.

Rotherham.

A town hall full of hard faced bureaucrats covering each others backsides, so called social workers looking the other way in the interest of political correctness, 'community leaders' batting blame away from their own precious communities, local politicians caring only not to rock the voting boat, faceless career politicos in the police sitting on their hands in the interest of 'community cohesion'.

The whole lot of them should be prosecuted, never mind allowed to remain in office.

And in a further master stroke to cut the cost of solving crimes & pursuing criminals ,along with making some crimes no longer crimes, there are moves to let victims investigate crimes against themselves. There are suggestions that victims should interview potential witnesses, gather cctv footage & even take fingerprints at the crime scene.

How long before JML bring out a diy scene of crime kit ,available at all good retailers?
