Interesting to see where the pro-EU argument will be coming from though, if we ever do get a referendum - clearly trying to scare the pants off the electorate with bogus claims of 4million unemployed. One has to ask however, IF the EU is so good at providing jobs (aside from the Brussels gravy train), why are there so many jobless in Greece, Italy and Spain; and impoverished folk from E/Europe coming to the UK for work? Then, in lieu of argument on the topic, Clegg tries to play the man instead of the ball, by misrepresenting Farage on the Ukraine issue and Putin; even coming out with some inane nonsense about Putin solving the Syria mess with "one phone call to Assad". Perhaps he hasn't noticed the diverse nature of the Syrian opposition, and the involvement of Al Quaeda ; making peace talks a non-starter. If you believe any Party will "run the country", your more naïve than I imagined; hung parliaments are here to stay. Then you meander into the suggestion that the Euro election is meaningless; which suggests you too are a Euro=sceptic and obviously oblivious to the level of influence that unelected eurocrats have in "running" our country. To think he could become Prime Minister should Mr Cameron fall ill is actually frightening. His debating skills would see him trounced at several of Warrington's sixth forms. He was not able to counter Mr Farage's points with cogent argument. I sincerely doubt that anyone could vote for Mr Clegg to actually represent their political interests in parliament.
