Probably this:-

Another corrupt gift from our supposedly elected council to their quango mates at Golden Gates Housing in order to ensure that there are nice warm spaces at the trough when they've finished with their current gravy trains - and all at the expense of local taxpayers, of course.

WBC's Town centre and improvement strategy appears to be -  leave buildings empty until they fall into disrepair then claim they are either too costly to repair or are unsafe then demolish them thus leaving the site to do whatever the wish to do with.

Is there no empty office space in Warrington that they could not just simply move into and save all this money?

Adrian there are so many buildings in Warrington empty they could take their pick, judging by the area that they are going to occupy in Bank Park surely there can't be a massive amount of staff.

Surely prior to plans being passed and building work progressing the people of warrington should be consulted on the change of use of land within what is a liesure facility for the townspeople. The fact that the glass house structure has been allowed to deteriorate to a point where it has been ajudged by the town council to be beyond recovery is not sufficient evidence to warrant demolition, and professional inspection may reveal otherwise. A typical example as to what is worthy of restoration is the glasshouses at Grappenhall heyes that are being brought back to useful service, as have the beautiful glasshouses in Stanley Park. Liverpool.

This park land has been allowed to deteriorate over the years, as I'm sure many Warringtonians of my age wil remember there used to be a lovely aviary in the park in the very area that is to be abused, I have included three maps the first dating from 1893 illustrating how this corner of the park was being used for the benefit of the people of the town with a Fish Pond lake, Glasshouses, Aviary, Aquarium, etc.

1938, little has changed.

1963, the fish pond has been filled in, however there are still facilities for the public to use, from then on everything goes downhill with that area being ignored and neglected and possibly being used as a dump for maintenance materials etc.

WBC WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO CONSULTATION!!!

But of course, if you board the shops up with nice pictures of food and competitions, then the economy is okay, right?

Nothing to see here. Everything's okay everyone. Warrington is prosperous. Look, we can even afford nice pictures where the shops used to be.

 Don't worry, you'll get better with practice.
