Cleopatra
Hummm.... I thught this subject was about the american dream not the Egyptian Dream. Probably some observer but too few to metion. And I'm sure there must be a few ladies of the night but I'm not personally aware of any and, again, if there are they are not in your face like they are in the uk. Freeborn John
Attractive CBS reporter Lara Logan suffered a prolonged beating and sexual assault at the hands of a crowd of Egyptian gentlemen celebrating the resignation of Mr Mubarak. I'm hardly surprised that Egyptian ladies keep covered up.
Nick Tessla
I'm hardly surprised that Egyptian ladies keep covered up. If only to hide the bruises
Cleopatra
I wrote rather a long post in answer to some of the postings on here but my husband came and read it over my shoulder as I was finishing then told me, "Aisha do not post that. Although what you have wrote is correct the infidels are so set in their beliefs of life in Egypt you will never get them to change their way of thinking. Better to just ignore them and let them go on living in their own strange little worlds."
fugtifino
INFIDELS! Ahem. Isn't there a contradiction in "...the infidels are so set in their beliefs..."?

Cleopatra
Do Egyptian women always do what their husbands tell them ? No they bloody well don't. But I married a very wise man who kept me in a wealthy lifestyle I became accustomed to.
observer
Does he deal in gold, frankincense or myrrh by any chance?!
Cleopatra
He deals in nothing now, having sold his highly successful import/export business and retired. I do believe he did do some deal in gold and in perfume. not sure about the frankincense and myrrh.
