  1. Well we have had our Smart Meter fitted today. It cost us nothing and I have been told it will be more efficient and save us money. The fitters do a health check on everything gas and electric related all for free and gave us peace of mind that everything is OK. We didn't have to have one but I decided the benefits outweighed the negatives - especially as I never have to bother sending a meter reading ever again! Should my bills go up or my house burn down I will let you know!!!
  2. Love it or hate it - clearly been a great success and set to return next year http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2018/05/28/early-bird-ticket-offer-for-warrington-residents-as-neighbourhood-weekender-set-to-return/
  3. Still pinching myself - clearly the greatest English team in the history of European football - fingers crossed for Six of the best! Just the small obstacle of Real Madrid and Mr Ronaldo!!
  4. More than 80 responses to my initial post and still going strong! May be I should post more often!
  5. From what I have heard and seen this is a very happy ship at the moment - exciting times ahead. Taken a while to sort defence out but now things are taking shape. Any team that can go 10 games unbeaten is going to be there or there abouts as long as the squad stays healthy. Big test against Wigan on Saturday but if the pass that with flying colours it could be our year - again!
  6. Well I knew I could rely on everyone to be positive.
  7. See if this sparks some debate! http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2018/04/13/give-warrington-town-centre-a-chance/
  8. And another win - again coasting, wheels come off and then thankfully back on. Hopefully see a full eighty minutes on the front foot soon!
  9. Been a long time in between interviews Wire Wire! Hope you enjoy it! http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2018/03/22/difficult-decisions-ahead-for-wolves-boss-following-josh-charnley-signing/
  10. Following all the weather warnings should Warrington Wolves have made the difficult journey to Hull just to satisfy Sky TV? http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2018/03/02/wolves-battle-through-the-elements-but-come-off-the-rails-at-hull/
  11. Welcome to summer rugby!!!
  12. My first ever game or RL weas at Wilderspool for the Lancashire Cup Final between Wigan v Working in 77-78 - after Workington won a dour game I decided Warrington were going to be the team for me !
  13. So are there 7,900 plus souls out there willing to try and make a change to the "political" process in Warrington? Now is your chance! http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2018/02/07/petition-launched-for-referendum-on-elected-mayor-for-warrington/

Would appear I can like posts but not vote on them - seems weird as I pay for it so I should be able to do what I like when I like to who I like!

Very disappointed to say the least - especially knowing what I know! - It costs circa £50 a month to keep this facility going - and you guys have been mainly positive supporters of WWW for many years - so it will keep going for as long as I think there is enough interest to warrant it. But we can easily block those who over step the mark.
  16. Certainly not fake news - been covering the saga on the main news pages for some time now http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2018/01/13/councillor-ready-to-right-plans-for-waste-transfer-station/

    Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all posters - especially the active ones I wonder how many of you will respond?
  20. Hi Milky - all our magazines can be read online here http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/category/magazine-downloads/ and hard copy worldwide is always available in your neck of the woods at Woolston hub as well as other main outlets like Warrington Hospital, Cockhedge and Birchwood shopping centres all LiveWire leisure centres, Warrington central library Warrington Market and even on the buses to name but a few. Midweek and Messenger no longer exist nor does the Mercury. I had a hand in all three in the dim and distant past but not connected with our magazine publishing business - that was back in my freelancing days. Sadly the newspaper industry is in rapid decline and the younger generation simply do not read them. Not sure how Village Life ended up in Padgate although some people take mags out of stands for their own areas.

It is fine to advertise the businesses that support us - because without them there would be no warrington-worldwide!! Full coverage of the visit can be read online here http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2017/12/06/ex-pat-eric-takes-trip-down-memory-lane/ How many people want to see the photo of Evils?

Well the visit went well - brief guest appearance by Sid while Eric and his good lady Beckie were hosted by myself and Dizzy at the excellent Shelly's. Great to meet people from another part of the world he have become part of the warrington-worldwide family. In the words of one of our dear departed posters Happy Days.
