I don't know what you ar etalking about? 😂
  2. The Rams Head changed hands last year following a fall out between the brewery and the tenants (It happens a lot these days unfortunately!) It has been through a couple of temporary tenants and is currently going through some changes. I haven't visited for a while so can't really comment any further.
  3. I don't think they will get maiony customers from Stockton heath side of town.
  4. It is based on cookies on their computer not how many accounts they have - i have multiple accounts with pages and groups put tested it and could only vote once. It has been shared widely by remain and brexit groups to engage with their supporters so in my opinion gives a fairly good indicator of how the country is feeling. Any way I am sure Boris will have it all sorted for you by Friday 😂

    Bus Company

I don't know why people are always quick to bash our local bus company. From what i can see they are doing their best in difficult times in a tough industry. https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2019/10/07/warringtons-bus-company-best-in-britain/ Yes I know it is difficult to get a bus in the evenings and late at night in outlying areas of the town - but there are only so money losing routes any business can run. Thery have invested in cleaner more efficient buses and doing their best to keep prices down and make thinmgs cheaper with new technology.
  6. Shouldn't your headline read why some ( a very small majority) of us voted leave 😜
  7. Next time you are in tell them they need to be better with their advertising locally !
  8. I had to read it five times again before I spotted it - that is the problem when you read when you think you have typed!
  9. The poll we ran on facebook engaged 150k people with 37k voting - and guess what 56 per cent want to Remain now. The fact our elected politicians have let everyone down surely now means they all need booting out and fresh elections taking place and then giving us all a straight choice which they must then carry out, in or out! It is becoming increasingly clear that there is no way this mess can be sorted out in the current set up.
  10. I know some Warrington fans who refused to go because they expected it to be included in season ticket price like Super 8s - apparently the club is doing research now on why people didn't attend!
  11. It's been a long time since we had a poll - Let's see how this one goes!!!
  12. Even national radio recognises how well we are fighting to survive on the high street in Warrington. Any chance we can all try and be positive and support the town where we live and/or work? A glass half full always feel better than one half empty! https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2019/09/28/eat-your-heart-out-london-warrington-clearly-the-place-to-be/
  13. Took a newbie to his first game - he was not impressed other than in the last five minutes when Warrington actually woke up! To get a crowd of 5,500 in a town with a population of circa 200K is very, very poor. Having said that four tickets in the VEEp cost me £140 so I won't be making a habit of it! The fact they couldn't even open Martin Dawes Stand hospitality on the back of a Wembley win speaks volumes! Where was the book your meal deal and have your picture taken with the Cup and Club legend Bennie Westwood package?

I fear Cleo sadly passed on to a higher plain although we never received any messages to confirm either way - but if someone is an ex-pat living alone and they pass away it is highly unlikely we will be able to find anything out without knowing their true identity
  15. I need to get a fish n chip supper tomorrow - any recommendations on the best traditional fish n chip supper near Penketh?
  16. Any competition which makes the competition format so complex and keeps changing them will never fill stadiums on a regular basis. As someone who has been watching the club since I was 11-years-years old and didn't miss a game home or away for 10 years, took my future wife on our first date to a rugby game and also sposnored Wolfie - to now someone who hasn't even been a live game this season, pretty much sums up the state of the game. Always so much potential, some fantastic games but a sport run by a bunch of clowns!
  17. At long last we have managed to get the banners at the top of the page linking back to the main site thanks to Bill at Carpe Diem so hopefully it can now be more interactive with local news and issues. This fully supported forum costs £100 a month to run - and the more users the more expensive it gets! so to keep it going please engage with the main site and our advertisers as much as possible. it has been a hard slog keeping it going since the onslaught of social media. Big thank you to Dizzy for all her help and support over the years - without her this forum would have g
  18. The end will still be Nigh with Brexit though! lol
  19. I was a regular and it was always busy but then the new owners took over and only took cash payments and took ages to serve the meals. It got less and less popular and then closed. Shame.
  20. You need to keep an eye on the main news pages https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2019/08/30/big-turn-out-expected-at-save-the-raven-meeting/
  21. Full report including live video stream can be viewed here so everyuone can seen local democracy in action https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2019/07/24/eddie-stobart-wins-planning-approval-for-green-belt-plan/ Our future is in their hands! Hopefully the Secretary of State will intervene and ensure it gets a fair hearing. In 40 years of reporting I have never seen a major planning application rejected and then be re-submitted and approved by the same committee - I use the word "same" loosely as the make-up of the committee has changed considerably in the space of eight months - w
