  1. Yes I agree about Ratchford. He is very versitile but in my opinion full back is where he's best, but with Ashton coming through so well I can possibly see him becoming a ball playing second rower next season in the mould if Sinfield.... I think at centre and in the halves he just isn't effective enough
  2. Great result under the circumstances, with 9 regulars unavailable. Fantastic defensive effort by the boys and always played for the entire 40 minutes of each half as both our tries came right at the end of each. Shows great character and fitness. Yes I liked the look of Doro but also Robson - shame he's leaving at the end of the season - just hope we have a clause in his new contract that says we have first options on him moving forward....
  3. A fantastic display and victory under very difficult circumstances, and great credit has to go to the whole club for even playing the fixture. It's just a shame that the Sky Commentators couldn't shut up about how unlucky Hull were and that all the 50/50 calls were going our way!!! At least Phil Clarke had the good grace at the end to say we were the stand out team of the weekend along with Saints....
  4. Yes Latch the commentators never seem to give Warrington any credit and were keen to get BMM off the pitch permanently. I also fear he'll be hit with a 3 game ban unfortunately....
  5. Superb signing underlining the club's ambition. Can't wait to see him grace the HJ Stadium and just hope he stays injury free.
  6. Scratchy first half against a very poor Hull side but better in 2nd half and ran in some good tries and a very welcome away win. Shame that Radford has just been sacked but rugby is a results driven sport!
  7. A win is a win but the game was hardly a classic and still very much a work in progress with regards to our offensive game. Onwards and upwards.....
  8. Can't think of anything positive from that performance I'm afraid!
  9. Should have been a comfortable victory but we made really hard work of it. Toronto played expansive rugby which was great to watch - I hope we take a leaf out of their book!!
  10. I’m surprised at your naivety Asperity. Didn’t you know that Saints have the God given right to win every single game of rugby they play and they only lose because they were cheated (as per Wembley last season) or some other unfathomable reason. The opposition can never outplay or outthink them – that would just be beyond their imagination 😊😊😊 As you say – classy losers…….
  11. Brilliant and complete performance by the boys. Saints never really looked like scoring until the 78th minute when great defence kept them out.
  12. Great news to see that he's extended his contract with us until 2022 when he'll be 34yrs old and been at the club 10yrs.
  13. Yes I thought it was a very promising performance full of grit and determination. I think we'd have won if Coops hadn't have gone to the bin. Big pat on the back for the conditioning team as I thought we looked fit, fast and sharp throughout. Full of optimism for the reat of the season if that performance is going to be used as a yardstick....
  14. I've had a note from the club asking me for my views on why I didn't attend and I've completed the questionaire, so give them their due, they are at least trying to find out why the attendance was so low and what they can do about it in the future.
  15. Very disappointing end to the season, but let's keep things in perspective. If someone had offered us at the start of the season that we'd handsomely beat St Helens to lift the Challenge Cup at Wemble but fall out fo the play-offs at the first hurdle, I'd have certainly taken that and I think the majority of other clubs fans would ahve done so also. Onwards and upwards and I'll be renewing my season ticket as soon as they come on sale!
  16. Can't understand why we don't just follow the rugby union format - so much simpler. 1st -ve- 4th 2nd -ve- 3rd Winners meet in the final. As said above - this is all about money rather than for the fans or fairness.... I also won't be going on Thursday - I'll go to the pub and watch it on Sky...
  17. It certainly wasn't pretty and the referee wasn't the best but the most important thing was that we won and hopefully that will instill some self belief for the playoffs.
  18. I was there and felt we did our best and showed great character under the circumstances. We looked jaded and tired and disjointed in attack, but strong in defense apart from some errors gifting Salford some tries. The RFL need to look at player welfare and take it seriously.
  19. What a brilliant day. As I said above we went with zero expectation and that's what made this victory so much sweeter. Daryl was out of this world and thoroughly deserved his Lance Todd Trophy and the team as a whole played very well and had more desire than Saints. Goodwin's last ditch tackle epitomised this desire and that was the difference between the sides. Well done the team and coaching staff.
  20. Certainly got fingers and toes crossed......
  21. Looking forward to my trip to Wembley tomorrow and for once I have zero expectations for us. I just hope we put in a good professional performance like we did against Hull FC and see where that takes us... C'Mon the Wire!!
  22. Yes we looked a far more balanced side with Ratchford back. A good workmanlike performance doing all the little things right and three scoreline took care of itself. A great atmosphere in the ground with both sets of supporters being loud but like the team performance, the barmy army were slightly louder! Wembley here we come!!
  23. Yes I feared the worst after the opening 10 to 15 minutes but we slowly played our way into the contest and took control and never looked like losing. I thought Daryl Clark was man on the match and agreed that the referee made some very strange decisions....
