Thanks for those photo's

Some I had never seen before very much appreciated.

But where was/is Dutton St Howley ?

Dutton Street was at the Church Street end of Mersey Street, it was the last street on the right by the junction with Napier Street.

I'm assuming that it is Dutton street togged up for the royal visit. I can't remember any houses , which begs the question as to when Lockers was built - the side being at the bottom of Dutton street, it being a dreary walk to the gate.

Happy days

King Georges Silver Jubilee, 1935 Harry.

Not sure when Lockers was built at the bottom of Dutton Street, not there in 1938, there in 1960.

Great pics again Algy, thanks

Latchford village is still much the same today, or at least it was when I was last there about 20 years ago.

It's changed quite a bit since 20 years ago Cleo. The centre has been 'modernised' with new retail buildings etc and quite a few new modern housing 'boxes' have been built too.

Not changed for the better. Railway pub has been closed for years and a general shoddy feel to the shops these days spoils what once was a real community village place.
