It is an attempt by photobucket to stop small businesses using their "free" photosharing device to post images on sites like ebay and amazon. Unfortunately it means that you can no longer use their photo's to share on a website without paying for it.

You can send a link to the pic to people but cannot put it on a website unless you upload it to that website directly.

Any way it was only a pic of some dig at women drivers. at least that what it seemed to be when i checked it using the firefox picture info.

we had it years ago when they tried to cash in on the massive publicity and money making spinoffs from the Six Million Dollar Man... They tried and made the Bionic Woman, and it flopped...

I really can't understand why these bloody PC fanatics can't just leave stuff alone. Seems today that advertisers are being told to stop adverts depicting the woman doing the cleaning and things that women traditionally do and stop showing men as incompetents when it comes to cooking and washing... obviously these people have never heard of something called "the truth" and are trying to force this nonsense onto the wider populous

Think you hit the mark on why when you said "traditionally do". That is what they are trying to change peoples thinking on, that certain work either about the house or otherwise is gender specific. Cannot as yet think of one instance that is gender specific at the moment.( or even trans-gender specific which opens up a whole new can of worms)

As for the bionic women the reason it flopped was that the film industry did not take into account the fact that they should not have gone for a "traditional" approach of a woman cannot do a man's job as good as a man.

The problem with the PC brigade is that they tend to over react to a situation, one complaint and they call for an outright ban on whatever caused the complaint. All to do with that first word "political", as soon as you put political into any argument people are of the opinion that is something that the government sanctions and must be obeyed to the letter.

Hmm wonder if that would work with "political" assassination..........

So we are all ok with a time travelling, self regenerating, immortal alien zooming about in a phonebox yet we struggle with a woman playing it,  have a look at yourself or better still jump in the tardis and whizz back a few centuries to where you belong..  The very notion of a female doctor this day and age indeed

Baz , Observer, did you consider that she may have been the best applicant for the job or, as she is female, must it automatically be a P.C. decision?

Of course it is a PC decision... Doctor Who has always been a man, the original stories were written as a male time traveller with a female assistant so why do they deem it necessary to change the role? If they are that concerned about it, why not write a new series and cast a woman in the lead role for that? Roddenberry did it when he penned Star Trek Voyager and put Catherine Janeway in charge of a Starship..... He cashed in on the Star Trek name and reputation and then used it to try new ideas... the series ran for many many series.

So what next? Murder He Wrote just to even things up a bit....or  Jackieanory, Mrs Benn, the Fresh Princess of Bel Air... The mind boggles :)

And his arch enemy, the Master, was he originally written as a male and did he always regenerate as such?  If not wouldn't you say the precedent had been set already that these make believe, fictional self generating aliens are gender ambiguous??

Of course it could be that the BBC wants to reduce its wage bill. Peter Capaldi is being paid between £200,000 and £249,000 pa, and as everyone knows female actors always get paid less than their male counterparts..............................................<_<
