If it was, then there are stark questions about "the guide lines".  In effect, imo this was murder, certainly man-slaughter caused by totally reckless behaviour, which should have been rewarded with at least 20 years imprisonment without parole. The victim that was killed, could have been any one of us.

My point would be that judges hand down sentences in line with the offence that the offender has been found guilty of. If it was death by dangerous driving the sentence would be different to involuntary manslaughter for example. As for 20 years with no parole, well you wouldn't get that for murder never mind for causing death by dangerous/reckless driving.
