observer Posted May 28, 2015 Report Share Posted May 28, 2015 Seems a 19 yo from Rochdale, did over 100mph down a M/way in a hire car; then bragged of how did 80 mph around residential streets; ultimately cutting another car in half and killing the driver. In effect, imo this was murder, certainly man-slaughter caused by totally reckless behaviour, which should have been rewarded with at least 20 years imprisonment without parole. asperity Posted June 1, 2015 Report Share Posted June 1, 2015 My point would be that judges hand down sentences in line with the offence that the offender has been found guilty of. If it was death by dangerous driving the sentence would be different to involuntary manslaughter for example.
