observer
Worthwhile or not? Arguably undemocratic; as many Parties will be excluded; but if included, would it make for a coherent debate? As we don't have a Presidential system, are Leader debates relevant, as it possibly promotes the cult of personality rather than policy? Evil Sid
would it make for a coherent debate? Since when has any politician been coherent apart from when accepting their pay rise.
wolfie
It would be like an episode of 'Call my Bluff ' but with everyone bluffing.
Latchford Locks
If all these fringe parties got to join in just where would it all end up? I think the relevant people have been chosen correctly, UKIP by reason of their media interest alone.
observer
Think it may depend on the format; whether the main issues of the day are put to each party in turn, to tell us how they will tackle them; in which case more parties could be included OR whether we'll get the usual mud slinging and point scoring. observer
Well, we've seen some of it on tonight's news: record a speech at a fringe meeting, ID a non-PC comment, then create a song and dance about it. No wonder folk are fed up with main party politics, no more plain speaking.

Dimbleby: OK....How would you tackle Immigration?.... Cameron: We will negotiate, then negotiate and negotiate some more. A bit of talking and finally accept whatever we get to avoid a European in/out referendum Milliband: We leave the borders open and continue to let as many foreign types in as we can.... then we encourage them to all vote for Labour.....Oh, hang on a minute; we already done that one Clegge: Whatever Europe wants, we want Farage: In/out EU referendum..... no foreign chaps allowed to vote though Green Party Woman: We'd plant a tree and dance round it Galloway: It's all Israel's fault....
