  1. April sees is celebrating 25 years of Warrington Worldwide online - Where did that time go? It has been quite a journey and I suspect the forum will be 25 years old in another year or two. Big thank you to those of you who are still around and have been part of our journey. Shame social media came along as it certainly impacted the forum - although for finding stuff out from the past this still knocks spots off social media - hence we have kept it going. More about our 25 years in the link below and some congratulations messages from those we have worked with over the years! Celebrating 25 years of Warrington Worldwide and messages of Congratulation
  2. Hi Bill - you should have messaged me - I would have got out to the brewery for their response! Hope you are well
  3. WoW - sorry the pictures aren't there any more - hope you are well.
  4. Wow, I missed the return of the Dizzy one! Hope everyone is well! Happy New Year!

    Bin Strike

and so it rumbles on and on and on ...! https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2023/10/26/union-serve-third-bin-strike-action-notice-accusing-council-of-lack-of-urgency/
  6. This would have sparked a lot of debate on here 10 years ago! https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2023/10/28/council-leader-not-seeking-re-election-next-may-following-significant-personal-challenges/
  7. Well it sadly all went wrong again - club appears to be in a right mess! Not convinced Sam Burgess is the answer - but what do I know?
  8. Thanks Sid - I actually issued an old new t-shirt that I found to our new music correspondent the other day! I will be at the Oktoberfest again this year for any posters who fancy popping in - I can afford a round of five pints!
  9. Just catching up - I am totally against Facebook (but have to use it as a necessary evil for business) as it is a law to itself and actually wants me to pay them to distribute a free news service. For me Facebook is best for just family stuff and posting pictures of what you are eating. Not really the place for serious debate. I am already a member of far too many groups - obviously, if you want to start your own private Warrington chat group that's up to you. The forum will be staying open until at least the end of the year as we evaluate what we are doing to celebrate 25 years of providing a free news service and launch our ambassadors. From past experience, everyone I know who has been involved in setting up a specific group on Facebook ends up having problems. Few are now run by the people who actually set them up. Facebook posts also don't get picked up as well by google and there is a fair chunk of history on here now that would be a shame to lose. P.S Dizzy keeps saying she is going to come back - so those connected with her on facebook need to give her a poke!
  10. Sorry Crispin - only just seen this as been away and then busy catching up. I doubt there would be an issue using the images as long as they are credited and they have been put in public domain on here.
  11. I'm one of those blokes in the pub you speak to lol !
  12. The big question is why does no other country have an NHS like ours? Answer - it, unfortunately, doesn't work properly.
  13. It was easy to get around the issue Bill - all you needed to do was speak to the family member you share with and tell them to expect an email to authorise and boom - back on instantly
  14. While we wouldn't allow a forum member to address another on here with such language it would appear a significant number of people think it is Ok for an elected MP to RE tweet the f word about your opposition. Personally, I wouldn't use the f word full stop as an insult to anyone or any organisation - but maybe I am just old school and too polite. I'd rather have a healthy debate and walk away from the table still on speaking terms with anyone I disagreed with (Bill) What do others think ? https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2023/05/30/tory-chairman-calls-for-labour-mp-to-resign-over-offensive-hate-tweet/
