Regular visitors may notice that from today a few changes have been implemented - most notably the new (hopefully improved) adverts - which help towards the running costs. During some extensive development work on our main site, we discovered (to our horror) that the forum and links within it were giving us some significant issues with regard to SEO and google rankings. We have made a last throw of the dice to see if any value is left in retaining the forum. While we don't wish to say farewell to our loyal and hardy followers on here - we can not afford to have it impact our core business. So let's see how it goes. I am currently seeing lots of nice holidays being advertised on the forum - so I clearly need one - so off to Spain soon! Happy posting and hopefully we can continue providing this forum - if it pays for itself and doesn't continue to damage the main site

Not heard from Annette for a long time

Five from five and still top of the league! It most definitely could be our year!

Geoff and Dizzy and Ant are all still in circulation - in fact Ant was at Creamfields doing voluntary work with the Red Cross (or similar). Dizzy is too busy on facebook and working and Geoff was very active last year in the community but not seen him for a while.

A very moving service at the 30th anniversary of the bombing. Hard to believe it was 30 years ago today that I was stood in almost exactly the same spot, reporting on the events unfolding before my eyes. So far - so good - three out of three (but so was last year) but convincing performances and a good comeback to show strength of charcater - could it be our year at ong last!!?

Is anyone looking forward to the new season with any optimism? As a life long fan I've not managed to drag myself to a live game for over three years! I even forget when they are on telly now!

Apologies for my long absence - been a lot going on including server moves and upgrades which clearly caused some issues. It followed on from a very slooooooow tiume with the site in December. Hopefully everything back up to speed now. I have also survived a drug and caffeine free January and around 10lbs lighter as a result. Currently extending dry January into February untilI have a mini brerak later in the month! Hope everyone is keeping well and surviving the cost of living crisis, strikes and global wars to name but a few - Oh and the pandemic!

It would appear a server upgrade at our end caused the problem - which I just fell foul of using chrome - it appears to have updated and refreshed now. Sorry for those who experienced a problem!
