  1. Just heard that Willie Aspinall has passed away not been well for a while
  2. I saw many good games at Wilderspool --i lived in Clock-Face and our Saturday mornings were spent in the Local baths in Bath Street --on leaving we had our dinner in town then on we would go to whoever Wire were playing --seen em all there my fav was Jimmy Challinor a classy centre,Eric Fraser was another top player --then catch no 140 back to Clock Face --happy days.
  3. Cas wanted it more than Wire--that seems a good buy Inglis
  4. Good player very reliable.
  5. For me Tesco are the biggest rip off merchants--nowt wrong with Aldi😀
  6. Not a classic -I was hoping for a Wire victory, they looked really tired half way through the game. Anyone notice how many times Catalan were offside at the ptb they were only pulled up once all the game
  7. A little old lady answered a knock on the door one day, only to be confronted by a well-dressed young man carrying a vacuum cleaner. "Good morning," said the young man. "If I could take a couple of minutes of your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in high-powered vacuum cleaners." "Go away!" said the old lady. "I haven't got any money!" and she proceeded to close the door. Quick as a flash, the young man wedged his foot in the door and pushed it wide open. "Don't be too hasty!" he said. "Not until you have at least seen my demonstration." And with that, he emptied a bucket of horse manure onto her hallway carpet. "If this vacuum cleaner does not remove all traces of this horse manure from your carpet, Madam, I will personally eat the remainder." "Well," she said, "I hope you've got a good appetite, because the electricity was cut off this morning.
  8. Being a Saints supporter I feel confident we can beat Catalans and hope Wire stuff Leeds but you never know what might happen in a semi-final.
