  1. It was a very dominant performance and the showed true grit and professionalism throughout. The middle unit were fantastic and set the tone of the match, and what a great thing of beauty that was. Leeds fed of the scraps we left them, and it reminded me very much of how we played last year, with the backs always on the back foot. Also worthy of a mention - I thought Bullock had his best game by far in a Warrington shirt - he's really come on this season. Early days, but I do have a good feel about this season.
  2. Ha ha we're all getting older and grumpier but let's try and keep the dream alive for another year!
  3. Ben Currie's testimonial against Leigh. Strong team picked. Can't wait....
  4. I'm eternally optimistic Gary, but more so this year. Having attended the recent squadbuilder event at The Village Hotel you can't but help to be impressed by the new players, not only their sheer size but their "presence." It's been a long time since I've felt like that so I'm going tonight full of cautious optimism. It's always our year don't you know!!
  5. Yes a great advert for our game. We looked dangerous in the backs and very entertaining. Whizzy Rascal was also great!!
  6. Very excited Gary. Can't wait to see the lads play under Powell and hopefully get back to playing attractive and enjoyable rugby and maybe even win some trophies this year. C4 exposure is also a step in the right direction for the game as a whole.
  7. Yes just read that. Shame he didn't work out on the playing front but what a bloke to stay on a voluntary basis to help with the development of the team and younger blokes.
  8. Great victory and I thought both youngsters were superb and hopefully will get more opportunities once Powell is at the helm. Always good to thrash Wigan although the commentators were falling over themselves with excuses for them!!
  9. The best all round perfomance of the season. Brilliant! Let's hope we can now improve upon our consistancy all the way to Old Trafford....
  10. I just thought it was a workmanlike performance doing enough to win without ever getting out of 3rd gear. As a spectator at the game, I thought it was all fairly flat.....
  11. Great performance and on the da that the club announced King had signed for another 4 years. Happy days.......
  12. Yes a match full of commitment and desire but lacking in creativity from either side to be honest. We had enough possession in their half to have won the game but in the end a draw was a fair result. I’m not a big fan of the “Golden Point” concept and would much rather the match end after 80 minutes like it used to.
  13. Now had the confirmation email from the club. Happy days...
  14. According to a number of news sources Powell is expected to be announced as our new coach for 2022 this afternoon. I for one will be delighted.
